National Nutrition Month 2021

In March, Tri-State Wellness is partnering with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) to encourage our community to eat healthier through this year’s National Nutrition Month® 2021 theme, Personalize Your Plate. Developing a healthful eating pattern is not a one-size first all endeavor. The key is tailoring your favorite foods to meet your individual nutrient needs.

In celebration of National Nutrition Month®, Tri-State Memorial Hospital & Medical Campus is hosting a free virtual education seminar presented by Jennifer Raykovich, RDN, LD, CD, of Tri-State Wellness on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, from 6:00PM to 7:00PM. To learn more and to RSVP, visit or email

“National Nutrition Month® is a time for us to take a step back and evaluate our food practices while focusing on making informed food choices,” says Tri-State Wellness Director, Jen Scharffer, RDN, LD, CD. “Our goal is to promote accurate nutrition knowledge and encourage healthy living through sound eating habits and physical activity. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating National Nutrition Month® at our free virtual education seminar on Wednesday, March 10.”

During National Nutrition Month®, AND encourages everyone to make informed food choices and develop sound eating and physical activity habits they can follow all year long. AND recommends seeking the advice of registered dietitian nutritionists – the food and nutrition experts who can help develop individualized eating and activity plans to meet people’s health goals.

It is important to note that all registered dietitians are nutritionists, but not all nutritionists are registered dietitians. At Tri-State Wellness, our registered dietitian nutritionists offer health and wellness programs to help individuals achieve the changes needed to sustain a healthier lifestyle long-term. From nutrition planning to diabetes prevention and more, our registered dietitian nutritionists will lead you on the right path and help you make the best choices to live your healthiest life.
