Tri-State Hospital Foundation And Local Partners Collaborate To Help Implement Community Outreach Programs

Tri-State’s Trauma Injury Prevention Program focuses on community education to help reduce trauma related injuries that can cause disability or death. The program provides information on ways to reduce injuries and assists individuals and families who are experiencing financial hardship, giving them the tools they need to lower their risk of injuries.

In 2022, with the generosity of involved community member Chris Loseth, the Trauma Injury Prevention Program received a donation of 200 car seats for families in need, who would otherwise not be able to obtain these very important safety items.

“The safety and well-being of children is near and dear to my heart, and it is my great honor to be able to assist families in protecting their children,” said Chris Loseth.

Tri-State’s Trauma Injury Prevention Program and the Tri-State Hospital Foundation would like to extend a warm thank you to Chris Loseth for his compassionate donation. “Generous gifts from community members like this help provide Tri-State with additional resources to benefit our community,” said D’Lynn Ottmar, Chief Development Officer for Tri-State Hospital Foundation. “It is with the utmost gratitude that we say thank you to Chris for his kind donation that helps support those in need.”

The Trauma Injury Prevention Program has received grants from the community and surrounding region to help establish many generous donations in the Lewis-Clark Valley. Since the program’s inception, they have provided bike helmets, head lamps, life jackets, STOP THE BLEED® kits, assistive devices, and now car seats to help benefit many individuals and families within our area. Generous grants to this program have also been received since 2020 from Clearwater Paper.
