A message to the Lewis-Clark Valley regarding the COVID-19 vaccine

Tri-State Memorial Hospital is the Lewis-Clark Valley’s only community owned and operated hospital since 1955. But, what does community mean? We learned in 2020 that when communities join forces, they can do so much more together than they could have ever done alone. Resilience arises from our combined strength. The same holds true when it comes to the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine.

We consider our community not to be divided by bridges but instead brought together by them. Tri-State Memorial Hospital will not separate our valley by which state an individual resides in when it comes to placing their health as our first priority. We understand that the COVID-19 vaccine is our most powerful tool in combating the pandemic, and our goal at Tri-State Memorial Hospital is to vaccinate all who want to receive it.

Even as we follow the guidelines outlined by the Washington State Department of Health, as of Thursday, January 28, we have administered 1,630 COVID-19 vaccines in total and provided 1,271 first doses and 359 second doses. Our facility remains committed to vaccinating more in our community as quickly and as safely as possible. For now, our ability to vaccinate has nothing to do with our willingness or drive but is entirely dependent on how many vaccines we will receive.

It is understandable to be concerned regarding when you will receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Through this ever-changing situation, Tri-State Memorial Hospital will continue to be transparent with our community. We have said it before, and we will say it again, you are our family. Unified, the Lewis-Clark Valley fights against COVID-19. Tri-State Memorial Hospital will continue to embrace the health, safety, and future of this community. We are all in this together.

Our hospital is dedicated to providing accurate and timely information regarding the COVID-19 vaccine and its availability. To learn more visit www.TriStateHospital.org/COVIDVaccine
