Tri-State Memorial Hospital & Medical Campus Awarded for Outstanding Achievements in Quality of Care at Caravan Health Accountable Care Symposium
Tri-State Memorial Hospital & Medical Campus was honored with the ACO of the Year Award at the Caravan Health Accountable Care Symposium in Phoenix, AZ.
Over 600 attendees gathered in Phoenix, Arizona for the second annual Caravan Health Accountable Care Symposium on December 6-7, 2017. This year’s event featured thought leaders, industry experts, panel discussions and breakout sessions that addressed the most pressing concerns of health system leaders today.
The event included a banquet dinner where Caravan Health presented the inaugural Population Health Pioneer Awards. This was an opportunity to honor healthcare organizations and individuals who transcended quality of care in 2017.
“Our Accountable Care Organization (ACO) partners achieved more than $28 million in savings in 2016 and more than 90 percent are on track to reduce spending in 2017,” said Lynn Barr, Caravan Health chief executive officer. “The Population Health Pioneer Awards Ceremony is an opportunity to recognize the outstanding achievements of our participants, and to say thank you for their dedication to improving care in their communities.”
Caravan Health was pleased to present Tri-State Memorial Hospital & Medical Campus, as part of the Magnolia-Evergreen ACO group, with the ACO of the Year Award for $10,042,228 in savings this past year. The award was based on quality metric data used to measure ACO performance. With the help of the ACO leadership, physicians, nurses and support staff, Tri-State Memorial Hospital & Medical Campus exceeded standards in quality and care.
“The Magnolia-Evergreen ACO group consists of Tri-State Memorial Hospital & Medical Campus and seven other hospitals. With 23 ACO groups across the nation, each hospital’s efforts are important and impactful within the group. This award reflects the overall hard work of the entire Magnolia-Evergreen ACO group and is a testament to the ongoing work provided by our primary care providers and teams who continually work to improve quality and reduce costs by streamlining processes without impacting patient satisfaction or flow.” said Don Wee, Tri-State Memorial Hospital & Medical Campus chief executive officer. “We couldn’t be prouder of our team and the other members of the group for being recognized as number one for quality care while lowering overall costs.”
