Phase I Evergreen Estates Expansion and Renovation Project Complete
CLARKSTON, WA-August 20, 2019- Phase I of the Evergreen Estates Expansion and Renovation Project is completed. The project consists of two phases, and Phase II’s projected completion date is set for November, 2019.
Phase I of the project consists of a 3-story addition connected to the east side of Evergreen Estates. The first floor will have additional office spaces, meeting rooms and five residential units; the second and third floors will consist of 30 new residential units (15 per floor) for a total of 35 new units. A new commercial kitchen has been added, and the residents will also enjoy a beautiful, expanded dining room.
Phase II’s projected completion date is set for November 2019. This portion of the project will be focusing on a new memory care unit that will include 20 beds and the renovation of all existing resident rooms. The new memory care unit will be a secure area for the special needs of people with memory loss. A private, secure courtyard and dining room will be available specifically for memory care residents. The new memory care unit is expected to open in January of 2020.
“This expansion and renovation will meet the growing demand for this type of living and service here in the Lewis-Clark valley,” said Don Wee, CEO at Tri-State Memorial Hospital & Medical Campus. “The first phase of this project (the addition) has exceeded our expectations and has drawn a lot of interest and inquiries for Evergreen. We’re excited to have this first phase completed.”
Upon completion of the project, the total number of apartments will increase from 95 to 131, including the 20 memory care units. All resident fees will continue to include scheduled activities, services such as weekly housekeeping, all meals and snacks, utilities (cable, phone, and Wi-Fi), and an emergency pendant to request medical assistance.
