Proper nutrition is an essential component of everyone’s health. Tri-State has multiple Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, also known as "Dietitians" on staff to assist with your nutrition needs. Our Dietitians cover a broad range of services.
What We Do
In the hospital setting, Dietitians evaluate patients’ nutrition status and risk for malnutrition. The Dietitian may arrange for nutrition supplementation, nutrition support, provide education, and/or coordinate with other specialties to assure our patients’ individual needs are met.
Our Dietitians also provide outpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy in an individual or group setting. Your Dietitian will assess your nutritional status and counsel on lifestyle modifications, as needed. Your Dietitian will help you set individual goals and give you guidelines to help you meet them.
In the individual setting our Dietitians counsel people on many topics, including but not limited to:
Diabetes and diabetes prevention
Cardiovascular disease (including hypertension and cholesterol management)
Gastrointestinal disease (disorders of the upper and lower GI tract)
Pediatrics (child feeding, failure to thrive)
Tri-State Diabetes Prevention Program (get more information here).
