Surgery
The Tri-State Hospital surgery center provides 24-hour service with a staff of highly skilled nurses, technicians and anesthesia personnel. With approximately 27 surgeons on staff as well as a podiatrist and four fully-equipped surgery suites, Tri-State’s Surgery Department provides surgical services for a broad range of patients, including infants, children, adolescents and adults.
Tri-State offers a full range of surgical services, including general, urological, orthopaedic (including removing herniated discs from the spine, which is called endoscopic microdiscectromy, and anterior approach hip replacement, which is less invasive and minimizes pain), gynecological, ear, nose and throat, and peripheral vascular surgery.
Our state-of-the-art equipment allows Tri-State surgeons to perform both invasive and laparoscopic surgeries.
New at Tri-State
Dr. Mark Hiesterman, a general surgeon at Tri-State Memorial Hospital is the first physician in the Lewis-Clark Valley to be trained in a new incisionless surgery to treat chronic heartburn.
Time for Your Appointment
The care of the planned surgical patient begins with an appointment at our Pre-Operative Clinic. Patients are scheduled for surgery by their surgeon’s office and instructed to call the pre-op nurse to schedule their pre-op visit. Patients should plan on 1 to 1.5 hours at the hospital for the appointment.
