Pain Clinic

The Tri-State Hospital Pain Clinic offers many innovative approaches to pain management and a knowledge base optimally suited to define patient needs with appropriate treatment plans. Specialty trained staff provide a number of procedural and diagnostic treatments.

The Pain Clinic is located in the Tri-State Hospital Short Stay Specialties Unit.

Your First Visit

Your initial appointment can be made after a physician’s referral. You will be sent a comprehensive questionnaire and a letter with brief instructions on how to prepare for your first visit. It is important that you fill the questionnaire out as completely as possible before mailing it back in the provided postage-paid return envelope. This information assists the staff and physician in understanding your situation more clearly.

The Day of Your Appointment

If you were not able to mail your questionnaire, remember to bring it with you to your appointment. A nurse and physician will do a complete pain history, medical history and examination. After the examination and careful review of all of your information, the physician will discuss pain treatment options for you.

While the Pain Clinic is not for everyone, it is very helpful for many people with chronic pain.
